We are registered providers with the NDIS for all of our Pedorthic Services.
For Participants
Everything you need to know about accessing our NDIS services
Tailored Support
People under 65 with a permanent and substantial disability are entitled to full support for all fair and appropriate care needs under the NDIS scheme.
Appointments
Appointments can be made at any of our clinic locations by phoning our Tamworth Office on 02 6766 3153. All new NDIS participants must complete an online referral first.
What to Bring
Your Plan ID, Participant number, contact details, Coordinator information, a pair of socks, and any shoes for modifications, orthoses fitting, or repairs.
Consent Form
Please complete and sign our NDIS Service Agreement to proceed. Contact us if you have any questions about the recommended supply.
Assessment Fee
There may be an assessment fee for our recommendations and quote. We will discuss all costs with you before proceeding.
After Your Appointment
We'll liaise with your Coordinator, provide you and the NDIS with a quote, and await written approval before proceeding with supply.

Referrals
We work as part of an Allied Health multi-disciplinary team. A referral outlining clinical history and assistive technology assessment helps us achieve participant goals.
Appointments
Appointments can be made at Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell, or Newcastle by phoning 02 6766 3153. Online referral must be completed for new participants.
Quotes & Approvals
Following assessment, we provide the NDIS Coordinator or lodgement centre with a quote and await written approval to proceed.
Supply
A fitting and collection appointment is required. We discuss wearing-in guidelines and arrange a check-up within 2-4 weeks.

Is Walk Easy a registered NDIS provider?
Yes, Walk Easy is a registered NDIS provider. We can provide custom footwear, orthoses, and modifications through NDIS funding when included in your plan.
What NDIS funding category covers footwear?
Custom footwear and orthoses typically fall under Assistive Technology in your NDIS plan. Some items may be covered under Consumables. Your plan should specifically include funding for these items.
Do I need a referral for NDIS-funded footwear?
While not always required, a referral from your GP, podiatrist, or other treating health professional can support your NDIS request and demonstrate clinical need. We can guide you through the process.
Can Walk Easy help with NDIS quotes and paperwork?
Yes, we prepare detailed quotes with clinical justification that can be submitted to NDIS for funding approval. We're experienced with the NDIS process and can help streamline your application.
What NDIS services does Walk Easy provide?
Walk Easy provides Medical Grade Footwear, Custom Cast Footwear, Custom Cast Footwear with internally built AFOs, Custom Moulded Orthoses (CMO), Shoe Modifications, and Repairs under NDIS funding.
Can Walk Easy see NDIS participants at all clinic locations?
Yes, NDIS participants can be seen at our Tamworth and Newcastle clinics, as well as our visiting clinics in Armidale, Inverell, Moree, and Gunnedah. Home visits are also available in some areas.
How do I book an appointment as an NDIS participant?
New NDIS participants should complete our online referral form first, then call our Tamworth office on 02 6766 3153 to book an appointment. You'll need your Plan ID and Participant number.
